Active Voice

Active voice is sentences where the subject do the activity. Active voice used most of the time and used in a clause whose subject expresses the agent of the main verb. The Active voice is direct (performer-verb-receiver), vigourous, clear and concise. The reader knows who is responsible for the action. Example of sentences, "Andi do the homework". That means subject "Andi" doing the action to finish his "homework" as object.

 

The pattern of Active Voice in tenses

- Simple Present Tense

   I ride the motorcylce to the college

- Simple Past Tense

   She saw us in the market yesterday

- Present Perfect Tense

   We have studied the TOEFL book for 3 hours

- Past Perfect Tense

   The teacher had teached us for 5 years when we studied in Junior High School

- Simple Future Tense

  I will garduate from the college this year

- Future Perfect Tense

  They will have breakfast before I wake up tomorrow

- Past Future Perfect Tense

  I would have visited my parents

- Present Continuous Tense

  He is reading a book now

- Past Continuous Tense

  She was finishing her education

- Perfect Continuous Tense

  We have been understanding the theory of active and passive voice

- Past Perfect Continuous Tense

  They had been repairing the car

- Future Continuous Tense

  We will be driving a car

- Past Future Continuous Tense

  I would be breaking the target

- Future Perfect Continuous Tense

  They will have been shouting the goverment

- Past Future Perfect Continuous Tense

  He would be shooting the mouse

Passive Voice

Passive voice is sentences where the subject get the action from the object. Passive voice used cause the object of active voice is more important for the information then the subject and used a form of the verb to be followed by a past participle and a by phrase. It is a sentences that the subject is not actor of an act, but it is the recipient of an action. If the by phrase is omitted, the reader will not directly know who or what performed in action. In passive voice, the target of the action gets promoted to the subject position. Example of the sentence, "The homework is done by Andi". That means the subject is not actor of an act, but the recipient of an action.

The pattern of Passive Voice in tenses

- Simple Present Tense

   The Motorcycle is riden by me 

- Simple Past Tense

   We were seen her in the market yesterday

- Present Perfect Tense

   The TOEFL has been studied by us for 3 hours

- Past Perfect Tense

  We had been teached by the teacher for 5 years when we studied in Junior High School

- Simple Future Tense

  The college will be graduated by us this year

- Future Perfect Tense

  Breakfast will have been by them before I wake up tomorrow

- Past Future Perfect Tense

  My parents would have been visited by me

- Present Continuous Tense

  A book is being read by him now

- Past Continuous Tense

  Education was being finished by her

- Perfect Continuous Tense

  The theory of active and passive voice has been being understood by us

- Past Perfect Continuous Tense

  The car had been being repaired by them

- Future Continuous Tense

  A car will be being driven by us

- Past Future Continuous Tense

  The target would be being broken by me

- Future Perfect Continuous Tense

  The mouse would be being shot by him

Genome Announcement a Milestone 

"Mapping the human genome has been compared with putting a man on the moon, but I believe it is more than that," said Dr. Michael Dexter, the director of the Wellcome Trust, which funded the British part of the Human Genome Project.  

The medical benefits of genome science, scientists agree, must be used to benefit all people, not only a privileged few. Individual privacy must be protected as science moves forward with the project, and the information must not be used to discriminate against any group or person.

"This is the most important, most wondrous map ever produced by humankind," Clinton said in Washington. "Humankind is on the verge of gaining immense new power to heal. Genome science will revolutionize the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of most, if not all, human diseases."

            All the researchers involved praised the high level of international cooperation that enabled them to reach this stage, and they pledged to keep that momentum going.

Subject Verb Agreement

       Subject-Verb Agreement has a basic rule state, when we use a singular subject then we must take singular verb and when we use a plural subject then we must take plural verb. Usually a singular subject involves a singular item or a singular person. Plural subject involves more than one item or person. Almost all of them when we meet plural subject end with s, and when we meet singular verb end with es/s. Ok, we will make separate example for singular subject and plural subject. Check this out!

 

1) Singular Subject - Singular Verb (as a rule)

    The mean of singular subject is a subject pronoun like She, He, and It or the pronuns that can replaced with them.

     - She/He/It + Verb1 + es/s atau She/He/It + is (Simple Present)

        - He plays Football

        - He is Football player

     - She/He/It + was (Simple Past)

        - It was easy to do

     - She/He/It + is + Verb-ing atau She/He/It + is + being (Present Continuous)

        - She is running

        - She is being runner

     - She/He/It + was + Verb-ing atau She/He/It + was + being  (Past Continuous)

        - It was hiding

        - It was being coward

     - She/He/It + has + Verb3 atau She/He/It + has been (Present Perfect)

        - Dani has Teached

        - Dani has been teacher

    - She/He/It + has + been + Verb-ing atau She/He/It + has + been + being (Present Perfect Continous)

        - Rudi has been reading

        - Rudi has been being reader

    - She/He/It + is going to + Verb1 atau She/He/It + is going to + be (Simple Future)

        - Riska is going to study

        - Riska is going to be student

     - She/He/It + is  going to +be Verb-ing atau She/He/It + is going to + be being (Future Continuous)

        - The fish is going to be swimming

        - The fish is going to be being  enjoyable

    - She/He/It + was + going to + Verb1 atau She/He/It + was + going to + be (Past Future)

        - Randi was going to sleep

        - Randi was going to be sleepy

    - She/He/It + was going to + be Verb-ing atau She/He/It + was going to + be being (Past Future Continuous)

        - Sandy was going to be drinking

        - Sandy was going to be being a drinker

   - Use singular verb after each, neither, everyone, everybody, nobody, and someone

        - Everyone want to talk to you

     - Measurements of money, time, and distance usually use a singular verb

        - two hundred rupiahs is a lot of money for a cup of coffee

    - The word none sometimes uses a singular verb, when none use a one or not one 

        - None of us is unfinish the job

     - When the word  number is preceded with the word use, use a singular verb

        - Here is my pen

    - When two or more singular nouns or pronouns are connected by or or nor, use a singular verb

        - The pencil or the pen is on the table

    - When collective nouns are words that imply more than one person but that are considered singular such as group, team, committee, class and family

        - The class practices in the lab

2) Plural Subject - Plural Verb (as a rule)

    The mean of plural subject is a subject pronoun like They, We, I, You or the pronuns that can replaced with them.

    - They/We/I/You + Verb1 atau They/We/I/You + am/are (Simple Present)

       - They play Football

       - They Football player

    - They/We/I/You + was/were (Simple Past)

       - you were easy to do

    - They/We/I/You + am/are + Verb-ing atau They/We/I/You + am/are + being 

(Present Continuous)

       - We are running

       - We are being runner

   - They/We/I/You + was/were + Verb-ing atau They/We/I/You + was/were + being  (Past Continuous)

       - You were hiding

    - They/We/I/You + have + Verb3 atau She/He/It + have been (Present Perfect)

       - You and I are going to study

    - They/We/I/You + am/are going to +be Verb-ing atau They/We/I/You + am/are going to + be being (Future Continuous)

       - a lot of fish are going to be swimming

       - a lot of fish are going to be being  enjoyable

    - They/We/I/You + were + going to + Verb1 atau They/We/I/You + were + going to + be (Past Future)

        - Mice were going to sleep

        - Mice were going to be sleepy

   - They/We/I/You + were going to + be Verb-ing atau They/We/I/You + were going to + be being (Past Future Continuous)

        - They were going to be drinking

        - They were going to be being a drinker

    - The plural form of verbs like all, both, few, many, several, and some

        - Some people in the class are very sleepy

    - When use the word none, means or suggests more than one thing or person

        - None are sleepless cause they do the work

    - When the word number is preceded with the word a, use a plural verb

        - a number of cats are very cute

   - When the subject of a sentence is composed of two or more nouns or pronouns connected by and, use a plural verb

        - You and I are diligent

    - When use nouns such us scissors, tweezers, trousers, and shears need plural verbs

        - Those scissors are made by metal

Feel For My Final Task

          aargghghghghhhhhh.... don't tell me about final task AKA Skripsi, that word can make me feel bored. The question will be always ask to me as a student college is "When you will your graduation?". Oh My God, a friend in my home place, in college, and my neighbors will always ask that question. What will I can answer that question, must I answer May? May be Yes, May be Not.
          Hahahaha.... want it to be laugh hard to remove about my problem. The graduation will be reach if I can finish my final task, how much time that I can finish my job? Come on you must positive thinking, you can do it and will reach a nice graduation. How will be your parent thanks to God and proud of you for your graduation.
          Make tactics to reach that, think to solve the problem not think to stagnant. Use your brain to solve this not your anger, that make the problem resolved. Make your final task as a friend not an enemy. Keep Struggle Guyssssss!!!!!!!...For Your Better Future.

Make A Good Experience

         It is about my self, a student who thirst for knowledge. Everytime I study that everytime I feel my knowledge still shallow, a lot of time that I spend still can not make my knowledge enough. I have been heard someone tell to me "Experience Is A Great Teacher In Our Life", so I think how we to make our experience for fill the time that we can say as history of our life. Can you use a few time to think about make your history what you want to be? So this time to realize how we use our time to make a good experience.
            We can look our environment to get inspirate, don't just look elite but look that the people who need our support. Have you thanks to your God about everything what The God give to you. Of course thanks to God is one of kind experience. Make your experience is usefull for your life.
